2.        Noosa Springs Overview
2.1 Location and Site
The Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort was originally delivered in 2000 and included the Golf Club
Clubhouse and associated infrastructure (i.e. restaurant, bar, function rooms) as well as numerous
residential houses surrounding parts of the golf course. The Spa was added later and the original
master plan always envisioned a hotel on the site. The hotel was originally to be delivered in Precinct
F (Figure 2.1), however, this site is currently being developed as Parkridge Noosa, a residential
development consisting of 138 apartments and 28 town homes and various local amenities (Figure
2.2). Parkridge Noosa has already delivered various elements of the development and others are
under construction. The only option to deliver a hotel as part of the overall Noosa Springs
development is to build it within the existing footprint of the Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort.
The potential development area is over 1 ha (Figure 2.3), which is sufficient to deliver a hotel and
maintain some tennis courts.
