The bin storage area will be accessible for tenants on foot. The caretaker will wheel the bins out from the storage areas for the waste collection vehicle to collect. 4.1 Bin Storage All bin storage areas shall be constructed to meet the minimum requirements provided in Noosa Council PSP, Schedule 6.10.5 – Waste management design criteria. A bunded area is to be provided for bin washdown to ensure that all washdown water is contained and directed to a sewer connection in accordance with Council requirements. A water supply, including a tap with hose connection, will be provided within the bin storage area to facilitate cleaning. The design of the internal hydraulics has not yet been completed but will be undertaken to meet the requirements of Noosa Council PSP. All bins shall be washed within the designated bunded area. 4.2 Waste Collection Building Management is responsible for coordinating waste collection with the waste collection service provider and/or Council. Waste collection for the development is proposed to be undertaken on site, with waste collection vehicles entering and exiting the site in a forward direction. Servicing will be undertaken using a front lift waste collection vehicle (HRV) suitable for emptying 2 m³ bins, with a total service frequency of one (1) collection of the eleven (11) bins per week. The design vehicle for waste servicing has smaller turning path and height requirements than the 12.5 m HRV and 18m AV design vehicles and is appropriate for the internal access roads and service areas provided. Vehicle access, turning and manoeuvring have been designed to ensure that waste collection vehicles can safely enter, service the bins, and exit the site without reversing onto the public road. Manoeuvring paths are provided in Appendix B. The bin storage and collection areas are located on the ground level in close proximity to the internal service route. These areas are generally level to facilitate the safe handling and movement of the 2 m³ bins to the waste collection vehicle, minimising manual handling requirements and potential safety risks. 2576-WMP-01 v2 (April 2026) Page 8 of 16 EA/TB
