3.3 HYDRAULIC LOADING
The hydraulic loading for this site was calculated based on the anticipated population
intensities within the factory office facilities and the five (5) bedrooms contained with the
existing dwelling, as provided by the Client (refer Table 2 below).

Table 2: Proposed Population Intensities for the subject site
                      Source                   Proposed Population

The hydraulic loading associated with the proposed development intensity mentioned above
can be calculated using Appendix 4.2D of AS/NZS 1547:2000 based on a typical wastewater
flow allowances generated from rural factories and domestic dwelling. For rural factories this
typically ranges from 30L/P/day for on-site roof tank water supply to SOL/P/day for
reticulated community water or bore water supply as per AS/NZS 1547:2000. The typical
wastewater flow allowances for a domestic dwelling with bore water supply and standard
water reduction fixtures is typically 145L/P/day as per AS/NZS 1547:2000. The estimated
hydraulic loading associated with the development intensity has been calculated in the table
below:

Based on the above, a total maximum hydraulic loading of 1,410 litres (8 Equivalent Persons
- EP) per day may be generated from the combined use of the facilities on-site.

Based on the estimated daily flow of 1,410 litres (8 EP) per day, the site does not trigger an
application for an Environmental Relevant Activity 63(1)(a)(i) identified as;
