Specific Outcomes Probable Solutions Comments
subject site is
approximately 4 hectares; a
large portion of which is
vegetated. This in turn will
assist in the protection and
enhancement of the
Region’s biodiversity quality
and integrity of habitats.
The waterway barrier works
associated with this
application will only involve
the replacement of the
existing culvert. The
proposed works will
incorporate appropriate
construction controls to
minimise run off from the
work site and minimise
works undertaken within
the waterway. Any potential
impacts on natural drainage
and wetland systems are
proposed to be managed
through mitigation
measures including:
• All works will be
undertaken in
accordance with the
guidelines presented
within the Code for
self-assessable
development – Minor
waterway barrier
works – Part 3:
culvert crossings;
• Construction works
will be undertaken
during periods of low
rainfall or when the
stream is dry. This
will minimise the
potential impacts
associated with
scouring, erosion
and sedimentation.
