Improvement Plan
1. Continue with cyclical level 1 and 2 inspections across all bridge assets with results and overall bridge
asset condition recorded in asset system;
2. Reconcile financial asset data, GIS data and Inspection data to have a single point of truth for bridge
assets within the asset system;
3. Develop along term asset replacement programme integrated with financial planning and asset
‘ deterioration modelling;
| 4. Produce ‘next generation’ Asset Management Plans at a lower level of asset class hierarchy, for example
specific to bridge deck, abutments, headstocks, pylons etc.
\ 5. Undertake valuations on individual bridges to determine bridge values.
