PROPOSED UNIT DEVELOPMENT
PRECINCTS E2 & F, NOOSA SPRINGS
Precinct F
Precinct E2
Stockpiles of
uncontrolled fill
Text Figure 2: Site Location (courtesy NSC Maps)
The topography of the site is dominated by a ridge, gently dipping in a south-easterly direction on the eastern
boundary of the site. The proposed construction area is located mostly on the western flank of the ridge,
with the ground surface dipping to the west, and on the relatively flat ground at the toe of the slope.
Precinct F site is dominated by a crescent moon shaped sand dune (amphitheatre). The existing topography
may have been shaped as a result of past excavation activities (white sand has been removed from site for
construction elsewhere).
Ground surface contours (1 m intervals) are shown on Text Figure 3 on the following page. The site has a
maximum ground level of RL 38 m AHD, in the northern corner grading to a minimum RL 7 m AHD in the
south-western corner of the site.
The ground surface across the proposed building areas across Precincts F and E2 range from approximately
<5° to 29° (<9% to 36%) and 5° to 20° (9% to 37%), respectively.
