40.100 Chief         Power, as a local government who has exercised its power Section 226(2) Local
         Executive   under subsection 226(1), to pay an amount from its operating Government Act 2009
         Officer     fund to the superannuation scheme as a contribution for its
                     councillors.

40.101   Chief       Power to enter into an arrangement with a councillor under Section 226(4) Local
         Executive   which –                                                    Government Act 2009
         Officer     (a)   the councillor agrees to forgo a percentage or amount of
                           the remuneration that the councillor is entitled to as a
                           councillor; and
                     (b)   the local government agrees to contribute the
                           percentage or amount to the superannuation scheme for
                           the councillor.

40.102   Chief       Power to make a submission as a local governing body within Section 228(4) Local
         Executive   the meaning of the Local Government (Financial Assistance) Government Act 2009
         Officer     Act to assist the Local Government Grants Commission to
                     make a decision about funding under the Local Government
                     (Financial Assistance) Act.

40.103   Chief       Power to sign a document on behalf of a local government as a Section 236 Local
