Noosa Council

Dear Denis,
RE: 6 Taylor Court, Cooroy – Proposed Service Station and Fast Food Premises

Information Request Response to Traffic Items

1. Introduction

TTM have been engaged by Hass Holdings to respond traffic items in an Information Request from Noosa Shire
Council (dated 22 July 2016, reference: MCU16/0066) regarding a proposed service station and fast food
premises, located at 6 Taylor Court Cooroy. The traffic items relate to traffic impacts, access, grades and
pedestrian access. The architectural plans referred to in this assessment have been prepared by Red Dog
Architects, dated 31 May 2016 and the drawing reference is 2480-276DA-02 Issue P4.

2. Traffic Impacts (Item 15)

TTM have undertaken further detailed analysis of the Myall Street/Holts Road intersection. This analysis is
provided in Appendix A. The further analysis outlines a range of traffic scenarios at this intersection using
available data. The analysis concludes that this intersection is anticipated to operate suitably.

It is understood that Council has requested third party advice from DTMR. TTM issued this further analysis to
DTMR on 6 September 2016 and discussed this with them on 9 September 2016. From this conversation, TTM
understand that DTMR will advise Council of their preference not to have signals at this intersection and no
other works would be required.

Based on this further analysis and discussion with DTMR, it is TTM’s opinion that no further works, beyond the
planned works as part of the Cooroy Interchange Upgrade, are required.
