SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA 26 APRIL 2018

Finance & Risk
Council needs to amend its current Priority Infrastructure Plan (PIP) to a Local Government
Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) by 30 June 2018 to continue issuing infrastructure charges and impose
conditions about trunk infrastructure on development.
Since January 2014 to March 2018, $9,542,665 has been collected in infrastructure charges
equating to a current average of $187,111 per month or $2,245,333 per annum. The 2017/2018
budget has conservatively estimated the infrastructure charges revenue at $1,867,359.
A long term risk of LGIPs is the commitment ultimately made to provide future infrastructure at
the desired standards of service to meet development growth.
