Attachment 2 - Noosa Biosecurity Plan 2026-2031

of 57
8. Implementation
Partnerships
A collaborative approach to managing biosecurity risks is key to the successful implementation
of the Noosa Biosecurity Plan. This is facilitated through knowledge sharing, cooperation and
partnerships with landholders, state agencies, traditional owners (Kabi Kabi), researchers,
industry, community groups, environmental businesses and the local community (see Table
8.1).

The Biosecurity Plan guides Council’s activities for biosecurity matters on Council-controlled
land, and Council may notify and work with private landowners and work with other government
agencies to manage biosecurity matters on their land. The responsibility, action and costs of
biosecurity management is shared by all.
