   The Noosa River and its foreshore forms part of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve ® and is
   internationally recognised and highly valued being a key attraction for residents and visitors
   to the area.
   Council seeks that the boat shed either be redesigned or modified to comply with the Noosa
   Plan provisions. Council is happy to work with the State to achieve an outcome that meets
   the Department of Agriculture and Fishers operational requirements and a building that is
   visually more in keeping with the area and suitable for such a highly prominent site on the
   Noosa River.
   Any activities such as on-site fuel storage, boat cleaning, repairs and the like will also need
   to be appropriately addressed and managed to ensure the use does not adversely impact on
   nearby resident’s amenity and the water quality of Noosa River.
   On review of this matter | further note that 2 Russell Street currently obtains vehicular
   access via the adjacent reserve (Lot 131 SP 143417) for which Council is trustee. This
   reserve is designated for Recreation and Camping and there is currently no access
   easement or the like in place. It is suggested that the access arrangements also be
   formalised with Council at this time and that no work be undertaken in the reserve without
   Council’s consent.
