EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Co-ordinator Design & Traffic to the Infrastructure & Services
Committee Meeting dated 28 April 2015 and:
A.                       Formally name the Council owned property at 54 Eumundi Noosa Rd (2RP839623) the
                         Wallace Park Precinct;
B.                       Adopt the property numbering system for the Wallace Park Precinct as outlined in the
                         report; and
C.                       Provide entrance signage as outlined in Attachment 2 to the report, subject to funding
                         approval in the 2015/16 budget.




REPORT
The purpose of this report is to seek Council’s agreement to a proposal to solve the current
confusion and difficulty for patrons using the different community services and facilities in the
Wallace Park Precinct.

1.                       Background

There are varying and confusing addresses for the facilities in the Wallace Park precinct, with
several of them having the same street address - 54 Eumundi Noosa Rd.

Given that these facilities are not visible from Eumundi Noosa Road, people particularly visitors
looking for organisations in the Wallace Park Precinct get very confused and lost.

As a result Council and the various community organisations in the Precinct receive numerous
complaints mainly because there has never been a formal numbering system that designates
these facilities as being situated on Wallace Drive.
