2.     Passenger Data

An estimated 32,434 passengers were carried over the 10-day period. Note that passenger
numbers are recorded though manual ‘button pushing’ by the bus drivers and there were
reported instances of drivers not counting passengers (this was reported to Sunbus). Passenger
data for Council Cabs and the Boreen Point- Tewantin Flexilink was consistent with the regular
passenger use.

Table 2 below provides passenger data for Easter 2014. The service operated for 8 days and
included two additional shuttles (Route 064 Peregian- Noosa Heads and Route 065 Tewantin &
Noosa Heads).

For comparative purposes the additional shuttle Route 065 has been excluded. The daily
average in 2015 was 3,243 and in 2014 (excluding shuttle Route 065) would have been 3,714.
(The daily average for Xmas 2014-15 was 4,315).
