5.2.4      Parking Demand Assessment Findings
Cumulative parking demands of the proposed development are illustrated in Figure 11 and
Figure 12, showing the peak parking demand of 654 spaces and 86 spaces (including the
additional factor of safety) for Lot’s 3 and 7 respectively, and is expected to occur on a
Saturday. This result is aligned with the typical profile of a shopping centre. Based on the
results, the proposed parking supply of 750 spaces is considered to be sufficient to cater for
the forecasted parking demand. Consequently, the proposed car parking provision is deemed
compliant with PO1 of Council’s DPC - Parking and manoeuvring Table 9.4.1.3 given the
results of the parking demand assessment presented herein.
