West Ridge Quarry
Site Based Management Plan

      Security fencing
      Internal haul and access roads
      Sump/water storages
      Overburden stockpile area
      Processing/product stockpiling area

Types of major plant and equipment deployed on-site may include, but not be limited to, the following:
      Bulldozer
      Excavator
      Front-end loader
      Mobile screening plant
      Haul trucks

Diesel shall be stored on-site within a bunded or self-bunded portable tank with lockable pump bays that comply with
Australian Standard AS1940. It is anticipated that mobile machinery will be refuelled at a designated refuelling area,
however mobile machinery may at times be refuelled at locations where they are working in the field. No explosives will be
used in this operation and therefore shall not be stored on-site.

Machinery repairs and maintenance will be carried out on-site within a designated area, where practicable. Stationary
equipment will be generally serviced in the field unless it is practical for parts to be dismantled and transported to the
workshop. Consumables (e.g. tyres, oils and greases) will be supplied by contractors and removed (including associated
packaging) for disposal off-site in accordance with the legislative requirements and the local authority on a regular basis.

Wastes generated on-site shall be segregated (i.e. general waste, cardboard and paper, batteries, tyres, waste oil, oil
filters and steel) and stored within various skip bins or appropriate containers or neatly within a designated area (e.g.
graveyard) until re-used on-site or collected by a licensed contractor for disposal/recycling off-site.

An unsealed internal access road will be utilised to facilitate the movement of personnel, plant and equipment, and light
vehicles in and out of the Site. Unauthorised vehicle access will also be prevented by the use of a wire perimeter fence
and clearly displayed signage at the access road entrance.

Repairs and maintenance of mobile equipment will be carried out on-site within a workshop, where practicable. Stationary
equipment will be generally serviced in the field unless it is practical for parts to be dismantled and transported to the
workshop.

The layout of the proposed development is shown on Figure 3 – Conceptual Site Layout.
