3.1.4 Monitoring
The Site Manager shall carry out monthly surveillance of on-site water storages and treatment systems.
Site inspection of water storages and treatment systems shall be carried out by the Site Manager where practicable
prior to anticipated runoff-producing rainfall and immediately following the event.
The inspections should consider:
- condition of banks and batters;
- condition of inlet and outlet zones, including structure integrity, possible clogging, excessive sediment deposition
or erosion;
- pollutant levels within any treatment devices; and
- weed infestation.
Prior to a release event from the quarry pit voids, the Site Manager shall arrange water samples to be collected for
laboratory analysis at the monitoring frequency and locations provided in Table 13 – Water Monitoring Frequency
and Locations.

recorded on the complaint register.
The Site Manager shall maintain a record of surveillance monitoring of on-site water storages and treatment systems,
