the mining pit.
An Ecological Assessment Report (ATTACHMENT 6) has been
prepared for the Site, which provides an analysis of the ecological
values of the area and an assessment of the proposed
disturbance areas on the ecological values of the Site (as a result
of the extractive industry). It is anticipated that the proposed
development will not impact on the natural Site characteristics
such as native vegetation and natural landforms.
In addition, the proposed works on-site are approximately 800 m
from Lake Macdonald Drive and the view of the proposed
extraction areas on Site from this road is obscured by the riparian
vegetation associated with Six Mile Creek which will remain
unaffected. As such, it is not likely that the development will have
significant impacts on the visual amenity of the Site and
surrounds.
