In addition, the assessment provides that the haulage of materials
along Lake Macdonald Drive is anticipated to not impact existing
public transport, cyclist or pedestrian activity.
The increase in traffic along Lake Macdonald Drive relating to
transport of materials from the West Ridge Mining Lease to the
other sites (to the south) will be temporary in nature (works to
take between 2 years to complete), and will occur only over a
short distance (i.e. 1.2 km).
It is intended for a Drivers Code of Conduct to be implemented
which will also include information to the treatment and
awareness of on road cyclists when entering, exiting or travelling
along the haulage route.
