Rehabilitation works will be required prior to the surrender of the
mining lease over the Site. The extent and nature of the
rehabilitation works will be determined at that time with
consideration to the likely post mining land uses for the land.
Minimum works would include establishment of stable land with
grass cover for grazing purposes.
As a minimum, the Site would be rehabilitated in the following
manner to ensure the establishment of stable land with grass
cover for grazing purposes:
minor trim earthworks to void the pit permitter and floor;
spreading of soil for perimeter stockpiles; and
ripping, seeding and fertilising with grass seed.
Rehabilitation activities form part of the standard operations under
the mining lease. Rehabilitation strategies and plans are
documented and translated into operational procedures and / or
work instructions for effective implementation. Pursuant to the
Plan of Operations, monitoring and records of rehabilitation
outcomes are maintained.
