Following any flood event the applicant will undertake an immediate clean up and inspection of the
downstream creek area for any debris from the site as well as from upstream properties. As this is an
infrequent occurrence the approach is considered reasonable and appropriate for an agricultural use in a
rural zone.

The applicant has investigated the potential to utilise a racking system, however based on the
implementation of the above measures, considers that the proposed system will not impact on the adjoining
creek area.

    • Safety and Flood Plain function

Water Technology have reviewed the Flood Management Plan and consider the best option to minimize site
flood risk is to completely evacuate the site in anticipated severe weather events. The revised Flood Impact
Assessment Report details measures to address flood management as well as detailing two refuge areas for
smaller events.

    • Impacts on vegetation

The applicant agrees to remove the fill from the eastern vegetation and a separate application for operational
works will be submitted.

Please note that the flood model has been amended to reflect moving the bund away from existing
vegetation on site.

    • Flood Model results

Additional information has been provided to Council with regard to the flood modeling.

    • Water quality

O2 Environmental have revised their Stormwater Management Plan and indicate that a media filtration
system will be suitable for the proposal. This system is considered appropriate for the agricultural use and
the rural nature of the site and surrounds.

The applicant considers that they have now responded to Council’s requests and the Decision Making
Period has therefore commenced. We request that your Council proceeds with its assessment of the
application as soon as possible in accordance with the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.

Please contact our Sunshine Coast office if you require any further information and/or clarification.
