LIFESAVING
Again for 2023/2024 season I would like to acknowledge the efforts of all Patrolling Members, and the generous
support of Brisbane Lifesaving Service, Alexandra Headland and volunteers from other local clubs including Coolum,
Mooloolaba and Noosa Heads. This season we were fortunate to have Noosa, Mooloolaba and Sunshine Coast Branch
train up our members in the critical award courses for IRB drivers (4) IRB crew (4) and Rescue Watercraft (5) as well
as having several of our members become Silver Medallion holders (5). This is a great improvement from the previous
year and will assist the club's expansion of Patrols into Sunday and public holiday patrols for 24/25 ensuring we
continue to have strong volunteering numbers on the beach.
I'd like to acknowledge our experienced patrol captains whom without their tireless week in, week out support, we
couldn't continue our lifesaving operations.
