assessing bushfire hazard risk and preparing a bushfire hazard
management plan.

This Bushfire Hazard Assessment and Management Plan has been prepared to
maintain the safety of people and property from the adverse impacts of bushfire.

A01.1 —The proposed development is located outside of a mapped Very High,
High, and Medium Potential Bushfire Intensity areas as depicted on the Local
Hazard Area Map (refer Plan BFO3).

‘A01.2- The wedding marquee (the only proposed building) has been provided
with appropriate separation from the adjacent hazardous vegetation; SUSb, to
satisfy the SPP Assessment Benchmark 4 criteria of <29kWim? radiant heat flux
exposure.

 

Impact on Ecologically Important Areas

a) biodiversity values, connectivity and ecosystem

b) the long term physical integrity of waterways, wetland
and areas of native vegetation.

P02 — No vegetation clearing is required to satisfy the APZ recommendations.

‘A minor amount of vegetation clearing/delimbing may be required to facilitate the
vehicular access recommendations about the waterway crossings for the
emergency alternative access route to achieve a minimum 3.5m width and 4.8m
vertical clearance. All vegetation clearing required to facilitate the vehicular
access recommendations can likely be carried out as exempt clearing under the
routine management (a) definition of the Planning Regulation 2017 if restricted
to 10m width.

Water Supply for Fire Fighting Purposes

Development provides an adequate water supply for
firefighting purpose which is reliable, safely located and
freely accessible

Editor's note—For reconfiguring a lot, water supply needs to provide
for a minimum flow and pressure of 10 litres a second at 200kPa at all
times for firefighting purposes.

a) an accessible dam, swimming pool or water tank available for
firefighting purposes with an onsite water volume of not less than
5,000 litres; and

b) a water supply outlet pipe 50 millimetres in diameter fitted with a

The water supply requirements of SPP Assessment Benchmark 5 prevails and
can be conditioned with an approval (as recommended in Section 5.3).

Note, the reliance upon dams or pools for water storage is not an acceptable
solution under the SPP.
