2.3 Vegetation within the site

The majority of the site exhibits managed orchards and pasture. A unit of unmanaged open forest
vegetation occupies the northeast corner of the site and a linear riparian corridor dissects the central
site extent host to a mixture of Eucalypt and Acacia open forest.

2.4 Vegetation external of the site

The site is bordered by rural lots to the north, northeast, southwest, and west host to a mosaic of
cleared areas and open forest. Ringtail State Forest is present to the southeast of the site and is
host to extended fire runs of hazardous open forest vegetation.

Plate 4 depicts the general extent of bushland fuel sources surrounding the site. Vegetation hazard
characteristics are described in Section 3.2.
