PROJECT URBAN – 15104 July 2016
7.3.12 INFRASTRUCTURE AND SERVICES
The purpose of the Infrastructure and Services DEO is as follows:
i. The efficient provision and use of services such as water, sewerage, power,
telecommunications and waste disposal caters for the needs of residents and visitors,
relative to their location within Noosa.
ii. The ongoing viability of existing infrastructure services and facilities are protected from
the impacts of future development.
Comment: The proposed development can be connected to all essential urban infrastructure
networks. The attached Traffic Impact Assessment Report prepared by Empire Engineering found
that after the completion of the development, the existing traffic network will continue to operate
with spare capacity and the impact of development traffic on the operational performance of the
external road network will be insignificant.
The proposal represents infill development and will maximise the efficient use of existing
infrastructure. The proposal represents infill development within close proximity to a variety of
services, facilities and infrastructure in accordance with sound town planning principles.
