Erosion and Sediment Control Inspection Report Purpose of Meeting Erosion and Sediment Control inspection Project 26 Sallwood Court, Pinbarren Prepared By Luke Hamilton Phone No 0412 739 706 Date 4 March 2022 Present Kathy Ford Email [email protected] Luke Hamilton Email [email protected] Introduction Aussie Environmental were engaged by Kathy Ford and Andy Roy to review the current level of erosion and sediment control (ESC) on her property at 26 Sallwood Court, Pinbarren. Scope and Purpose Noosa Council as part of their Information Request (OPW21/0032) – Information Request 4 “Provide an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan completed by a suitably qualified person detailing erosion and sediment control methods required for the proposed works.” A site inspection was completed on site on 4 March 2022 by Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) being Luke Hamilton (Operations Manager for Aussie Environmental). It was raining during the inspection with several large rain events (>300mm) occurring over the prior two weeks. The completed works have held up well with some minor breaches as follows; - The drainage channel uphill from the completed works (between the culvert outlets and the completed operation works), stormwater breach the existing channel. This area requires silt build- up removal and additional rip-rap protection. Apparently, Noosa Council had advised no works to occur in this section of the drainage channel. - Stormwater did breach a garden bed when the dam over-flowed. Repairs were completed. Drainage Controls. - Permanent drainage/channel protection matched existing rip rap protection which would have been hydraulically sized to the upstream catchment, slope and expected flows (i.e. D50=300-400mm). - The drainage channel uphill from the works (between the culvert outlets and the completed operation works) require removal of silt build-up and additional rip-rap (Rock) drainage protection. Erosion Controls - Garden beds protected with a >100mm layer of organic mulch and planted out. - All other areas have been top-soiled and hydromulched with a turf mix
