Finance
The adopted budget for the Shire Reseal Program in 2022/23 is $5.3m. Attachment 1 provides
a list of roads scheduled for reseal within this budget allocation.

Risks & Opportunities
This contract is required to start at the earliest opportunity to ensure the successful
contractors have time to complete the 2022/23 road resurfacing program. If this contract is not
awarded as quickly as feasible, there is risk that not all of the projects will be finished.

Additionally, if significant rainfall occurs during the term of this contract this could inhibit the
contractor completing the year’s projects by a preferred completion date of April 2023.

The Local Buy Panel Arrangement was used by Council to procure services under this
contract.

Consultation
External Consultation - Community & Stakeholder

Council will be in consultation with members of the public, businesses and organisations who
will be directly affected by road works once the contract has been awarded.
