items they want. The door automatically closes, and a confirmation docket is then printed
detailing the items borrowed. They system works in reverse when items are returned, and the
kiosk is re-stocked as books are borrowed and returned into the cabinet.

Library Kiosks will be hosted in the Community Houses at Pomona and Peregian Beach. As
part of the branding for the new outreach service, the new kiosk has been named the “Library
BookShelf”. This denotes a community feel, while ensuring clear alignment with the Noosa
Library Service. Additionally, the final graphic design artwork for the kiosk wrap has included
the original artwork designed by Gregg Dreise, to link in with the new outreach vehicle.

The Peregian Beach Kiosk has been successfully installed, with launch planning and
operational testing underway. The Pomona kiosk will be delivered late July and operational in
August 2022.

4.    Outreach Programs
Library services have been enhanced through a suite of new, outreach library learning
programs delivered within the community. Since mid-2021, a range of digital literacy, early
literacy and cultural programs have been delivered at the Community Houses located in
Pomona and Peregian, as well as the Kin Kin hall. These programs have proven popular with
178 people attending these sessions. The intent is to continue these programs into the future,
extending the quantity and range of programs provided.
