1.3.       SURROUNDING CONTEXT
The land immediately surrounding the site is characterised by commercial and retail buildings, within the
Peregian Beach neighbourhood centre. Specifically, the nearby uses include the following:

•   North – immediately to the north, the site is bounded by main pedestrian route and Heron Street.

•   East – the site is bounded to the east by Kingfisher Drive and Peregian Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
    Further east is Peregian Park and Peregian Beach.

•   South – the adjoining use (as well as further along Kingfisher Drive) are restaurant/cafes and retail uses.

•   West – immediately to the west, the site contains more restaurant and retail uses. Bounded by David
    Low Way, there are further retail uses within the Neighbourhood Centre. Further to the west, across
    David Low Way is the Peregian Beach IGA, the Peregian Beach Hotel and other retail facilities.
