Figure 2.2 below, illustrates the proposed location of the Boreen Point North and Boreen Point facilities. Figure 2.2: Location of Boreen Point North and Boreen Point North Proposed Facilities (Source:Google Earth) The Boreen Point site (which will be provided in a separate Development Application) has been designed specifically to provide service to the concentrated residential settlement in Boreen Point. In comparison the Boreen Point North facility is an essential wireless hub site for the larger network as it can obtain line of site to the other wireless facilities located further away where a 30 m monopole in the location of Boreen Point cannot. The Boreen Point North facility not only provides wireless broadband services to surrounding premises (specifically the scattered residential dwellings along Lake Flat Road, Kildeys Road and Cootharaba Road) but is also a critical connection point for other fixed wireless facilities located further away from the fibre network including the Fixed Wireless Sites at Boreen Point, Coondoo West and David Cootharaba (Davis Road Cootharaba). In summary Boreen Point North will enable data from both facilities at Boreen Point North and Boreen Point to be relayed back to the fibre network via a chain of transmission dishes, as described above.
