Development and the N t plicable
Conservation of Agricultural Land This SPP lapsed on the 18 December 2012 and has been
replaced by SPP 1/12 Protection of Queensland’s Strategic
Cropping Land (Referto SPP 1/12 below for an assessment).
Notwithstanding this, the site is identified within the Noosa
Plan 2009 Natural Resources Overlay as containing
-
Agricultural Land Conservation Areas (ALCA). However the
proposed facility is loeated approximately 300 m north of the
mapped ALCA and will not ’impact on the current or future
use of the agricultural land. Furthermore, the establishment
of the proposed facility will occupy a relatively small lease
area (70 m2) of the total ’106 ha site area. The f cility is also
located on the periphery of the site and on cleared land to
avoid interference. Additionally the proposed use for a
telecommunication facility will not affect the agricultural
practices on site as the proposal is not for a habitable or
sensitive land use, and if the facility is no longer operational
the site can be decommissioned and the land rehabilitated.
