Lake Cootharaba and 300 m from
onsite Remnant Vegetation) and
will require
not removal of any
vegetation.
The proposed facility will be
located away from wetland
systems and will be unlikely to
impact on the natural drainage or
cause erosion of the land.
Furthermore, the foundations and
earthworks are to follow
engineering design standards and
stormwater dissipation is provided
through the proposed gravel
compound finish. In addition no
buildings are proposed and a
Telecommunication Facility is not
a habitable use, therefore no
effluent run off will occur.
The proposed facility will be
located outside of the areas
identified as ’Landslide Hazard
Area’ and will not increase the risk
of a landslide hazard as the facility
will be constructed relatively on
level land and will not impact on
land stability. Additionally, the use
will not increase the risk or impact
of fire since it is already cleared of
significant vegetation, where the
foundations and earthworks are to
follow engineering design
standards and will not use
equipment that significantly
increases the risk of fire.
The proposed facility will also have
restrictions aimed at preventing
public access, including a secured
compound fence with a locked
gate and warning signs placed
around the facility.
Disturbance of cultural heritage
will not occur as the subject site is
not located on the Heritage
Overlay as being located within
proximity to any heritage sites or
character areas.
Therefore the proposal is
consistent with 015.
