Table 12 - MUSIC Modelling Results – Receiving Node Bioretention System Reduction (%) Objective (%) TSS 80.3 80 TP 75.9 60 TN 60.3 45 Gross Pollutants 100 90 Media Filtration System Reduction (%) Objective (%) TSS 79.3 80 TP 59.9 60 TN 36.1 45 Gross Pollutants 100 90 Infiltration System Reduction (%) Objective (%) TSS 23.7 80 TP 16.8 60 TN 13.4 45 Gross Pollutants 100 90 The results of this assessment indicate the bioretention system is capable of achieving the water quality objectives. The media filtration system achieves the load based reduction targets for TSS and TP (within +/- 1%). The TN reduction is slightly lower than the water quality objective, but the media filtration system still removes a considerable quantity of TN from the roof runoff and could be constructed for considerably less expense.
