2. SITE DETAILS
2.1. Background
There are no previous development approvals applying to the site.
The site has historically used for a service station and garage and more recently for a showroom
for power equipment sales and repairs at the front of the site known as Madill Garage Cooroy.
As a result of the historical use of the site a petrol bowser is situated on the road reserve and four
tanks are situated underground. Two of the petrol tanks were filled with inert material in 1998.
The remaining two tanks, each 4,500 litres, have not been decommissioned. The use of the
petrol bowser and underground tanks continued until at least August 2011.
The site has been in the same ownership since 2015.
