3 Implementation of Social Strategy Community Development Coordinator A number of new initiatives have commenced including: On track @
- Noosa Shire Youth Network, which has their second meeting
scheduled for 8 February 2017;
- Sport and Active Recreation Plan, which is in the community
consultation phase;
- Arts and Culture Plan, which is undergoing review. A consultation event
is planned for 16 February 2017;
- Initiatives to support volunteers held a recognition brunch on 5
December 2016; and
- Grow Your Arts held two workshops in October 2016 with another
scheduled for 9 February 2017.
4 Implementation of Transport Strategy Infrastructure Planning & Design Manager Transport Policy adopted by Council. Preparation of draft Transport Behind Schedule oO
Strategy is underway.
5 Implementation of Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan Waste & Environmental Health Manager A number of programs have started but due to staff being offline to Behind Schedule oO
finalise the Waste Contract which occurred in December 2016 there
have been some delays. The Waste contract is now finalised and more
focus will come back onto this issue.
6 Waterways Protection - Inspection and Education Program Waste & Environmental Health Manager Inspection program is commencing in January and staff have been On [email protected] POLICY AND STRATEGY
