PLANNING & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 14 OCTOBER 2014
Ly PROPOSAL FOR A BOUNDARY CHANGE
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
“Noosa Hinterland belongs in Noosa Shire” is the fundamental premise of our
submission. We are not regarded as the Sunshine Coast Hinterland by either
ourselves or others.
The purpose of this submission is to seek public support from the Noosa Council
for a Change Commissioner to investigate a proposal for the area commonly
referred to as EDV to be included in the Noosa Shire.
The community has been given a window of opportunity by the Minister to bring

significant criterion and this submission outlines the very strong community of
interest between the EDV area and Noosa Shire.
There is strong community support for the proposal. The EDV Residents group
has twice assessed the level of community support within the EDV area. On both
