Figure 10: Google Street View 2022 - overview of the site from the road and the location of the existing
booster (red square) and two Black Sheoaks (marked in light green), and the ‘SITE’ of the Pump Room
While the Water Tank and Pump Room dictates the removal of the trees that are in direct
conflict with the footprint, it is recommended that an additional 1-2m of trees are cleared for
work site access and project constructability. The Project Arborist is to finalise the clearing
limits with Woollam Construction and the location of the Exclusion Zone demarcation.
Inground and pipes and/or services will be exiting the Pump Room towards the main site. The
alignment is shown to be within the existing road which will reduce further tree removals.
Where tree conflict occurs, additional trees will be removed. This is likely to include a few
Paperbarks and an advanced-age Wattle with a major mid-stem union defect. It is proposed
that any tree in direct conflict with the alignment will be removed in consultation with the Project
Arborist. Reduced impact techniques can be used to lessen the conflict on the tree roots with
the aim of retaining suitable trees. This can include localised tunnelling beneath roots and
Hydro Excavation. An Exclusion Zone to protect retained trees will be established and
managed as per Tree Protection Procedures.
