Attachment 4 - Treee Management Plan_V1
Plans and drawings: the text below has words only, no drawings.
The Generator and Switchboard are proposed to be relocated closer to the existing Electrical
Transformer on the western side of the carpark.
On attending site, the project design was clearly pegged providing a visual representation of
the proposed design. The construction of essential infrastructure will require the removal of
approximately 10 trees of differing species and age class. The prominent species are Broad-
leaved Paperbarks and multi-stemmed Wattles, with no Black Sheoaks within the proposed
footprint of the Generator works site.
The closest mature Black Sheoaks are found next to the existing concrete path that runs
between the proposed Generator site and the existing Electrical Transformer. It is likely this
path may require repositioning, and this may impact the adjacent trees. The closest mature
Black Sheoaks are found within the adjacent verge next to the concrete path, close to the
existing Transformer. Currently, it is predicted that these trees will be retained during the
project, but when the adjacent trees are removed these two would be left exposed in an area
of considerable change. This change is likely to lead to a decline in the tree’s health rendering
them unsuitable for retention.
In the interest of site accessibility and safety both during and immediately after the completion
of the works, they are recommended for removal as part of these works. The two Sheoaks are
numbered T20 and T21 in the Bennett and Bennett Tree Plot.
