No stopping pavement markings have been installed to maintain two-way movement for all vehicles through the
horizontal curve on Creek Road. Buses were observed during the site visit and were able to safely negotiate Swan
Street, Wylah Street and Creek Road. To further demonstrate this. a swept path analysis was undertaken. Figure 3.2
presents a bus (12.5 metres long) turning left onto Wylah Street from Swan Street while a car is turning left from
Taine Street to Wylah Street and right to Swan Street. Figure 3.3 presents the swept path from a bus travelling south
on Creek Road while a car is travelling north on Creek Road. Speed data for buses obtained from 2014 show that the
85* percentile speed was 36km/h to the north of the horizontal curve and 46km/h south of Taine Street.
