Town Planning Report - Expansion to Noosa Landfill

       Act 2016 (PA2016) the relevant provisions that apply are the assessment benchmarks under
       the Noosa Plan 2020.


       Subject Site

       The land is located at 561 Eumundi Noosa Road, Doonan and is described as Lot 77 on SP
       298776 (Lot 77). The land comprises multiple allotments that collectively form Lot 77 and has
       an area of approximately 322 ha.

       The land is located on the eastern side of Eumundi-Noosa Road and has direct access and
       egress to Eumundi-Noosa Road, which is to remain unchanged. The existing landfill is located
       within the southwestern portion of the land, which abuts the unformed Rutch Road to the
       southwest.

       The majority of the land contains a significant amount of regulated vegetation. This land
       extends northwards to Hollett Road, eastwards to Walter Hay Drive and further to Tidswell
       Road. Further, extends towards the south on the southern side of the unformed Rutch Road
       and further to the south of and abuts Emu Mountain Road (refer Figure 1A).

       The landfill site itself is located towards the southwest of Lot 77 with vegetation retained along
       the Eumundi Noosa Road frontage and adjoining the unformed Rutch Road. The existing
       internal access road within the landfill is also partly located within Rutch Road.

       The proposed expansion of the RRA is over an isolated area of land, generally having an oval
       shape towards the north, which contains remanent vegetation, as shown in Figure 1B, below.
