2.4. Refuse Transfer Staff and Cleaners will utilise the closest bin store for immediate disposal, both refuse rooms are accessible via goods lifts. On-site waste management staff / cleaners will transfer the bins from the satellite bin store on Level 2 to the Level 1 main refuse room as required. The satellite bin store has been designed to accommodate a minimum of one day’s worth of anticipated waste to minimise trips between storage areas. Staff will utilise trolleys and electric bin tugs designed to maximise volume per load to minimise impact on hotel amenity. Collection contractor will collect bins directly from the Level 1 refuse room for servicing and return bins to the refuse room once empty. The refuse transfer path has been designed to allow for: • The bins to be transferred via hard stand pathway. • Allows bins to be easily manoeuvred. • Does not impede traffic flow. • Does not extend through any habitable parts of a building or food premises. • Does not have any lips, stairs or steps for bins to be manoeuvred easily.
