Proposed National Broadband Network Fixed Wireless Facility (Impact Assessable) at 23
Jirrima Crescent, Cooroibah (Lot 46 on RP136461)

nbn has engaged Ericsson as the equipment vendor and project manager to establish the
infrastructure required to facilitate the fixed wireless component of the nbn™ network. Ericsson
has in turn engaged Aurecon to act on its behalf in relation to the establishment of the required
fixed wireless network infrastructure.

The nbn™ network is an upgrade to Australia’s existing telecommunications network. It is
designed to provide Australians with access to fast, affordable and reliable internet and landline
phone services.

nbn plans to upgrade the existing telecommunications network in the most cost-efficient way
using best-fit technology and taking into consideration existing infrastructure.

To enable the provision of these services to the local community, nbn has undertaken a thorough
analysis of potential site alternatives and during this process has attempted to select the most
appropriate site. Factors such as the ability to meet the required coverage and technical
objectives, opportunities for co-location, the surrounding landscape and community needs have all
been carefully considered as part of this selection process.

Based on this assessment, nbn determined that the above address would be the most appropriate
location to establish a facility so as to provide high speed wireless broadband coverage to areas of
Cooroibah.

Please find enclosed an application for a planning permit and supporting information for a
proposed telecommunications facility comprising a 45 metre monopole along with ancillary
components at the above address which will form part the nbn™ fixed wireless infrastructure.

The application is accompanied by:

    •   Completed Development Application (IDAS) Forms;
    •   Planning Report including the development plans and attachments;
    •   Owners Consent; and
    •   A recent copy of title.
