INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 3 MARCH 2015
Basketball structures in and outside of the centre also require assessing and servicing –
which have been scheduled for early 2015;
Professional cleaning of the tiled floor areas (after in-house cleaning/gurney has proved non-
effective); and
Sandblasting stadium louvres/framing to remove potentially dangerous surfacing.
2. Customers
There have been approximately 18,930 recorded visits to the Centre for this quarter,
approximately 37,199 for the half year. Increased attendance has been noted in group fitness
classes, netball and volleyball while there’s been a slight decrease in badminton. The second
quarter is usually a quieter period for NLC attendances due to the Christmas holiday period and
term programs and school bookings winding down in late November - early December.
Unavailability of The J (due to other events) and
Bicentennial Community Centre (due to Noosa
Gymnastics Club move) resulted in a major
booking for NLC in December while the centre
was closed for normal business operations.
Hillsong Church utilised a number of spaces
within the centre for their Christmas services.
Approximately 1,400 people attended and the
versatility of the centre was demonstrated in
preparation for upcoming major events in 2015.

Facility occupancy steadily increased again in the second quarter, is up by 6% compared to the
last quarter, and considerably higher than the same period last year. This is due to an increase
in bookings by various groups including Noosa District Basketball, local schools, first aid course
providers and Noosa Yoga who have a long term hire agreement of two rooms in the centre.
