This is essential for successful growth of plants and minimising maintenance. e Weed removal and collection of debris from planting bed soils and surrounds is to occur prior to planting and be ongoing during construction. e Native plants chosen for landscaping are to be carefully selected from species listed in section 8.4 for their suitability to planting location. e Extensive use of mulch to provide a better growing environment for plants, suppress weeds and retain moisture. e Where applicable watering systems are to be installed, tested and operational before mulching to render plumbing inconspicuous.
