SETTLERS COVE NOOSA Landscape Master Plan Habitat protection areas requiring exclusion shall be marked pre-construction by means described below in accordance with the Environmental Management Plans: Orange hazard fencing with provision for fauna movement. Star picket posts shall be used to support hazard fencing. Signs (min. 300 x 200mm) stating ‘No Entry - Habitat Protection Area ’ shall be attached approximately every 50m on fencing. e Single tagging of specimen trees with vegetation protection tape. Prior to handover of Residential Single Lots the respective new owners shall receive documentation that includes recommendations for vegetation protection in their brochure ‘Caring for your Bushland Environment’, contained herein, appendix 3. Body Corporate Managers for each High Density Residential Lot will receive information including vegetation protection guidelines that is to be incorporated in documentation known as “The Community Management Statement.” for each lot. Banksia Avenue & Grosvenor Terrace Road Reserves As required in Single Residential Lots condition 9, existing trees within the Road Reserves are to be retained, except where required to be removed due to building operations, requirements of the Bushfire Management Plan and the Ecological Restoration Plan and Specifications, or the conduct of the approved use. The condition goes on to say that 2 old Eucalypt trees within the Banksia Avenue Road Reserve shall be retained and protected. After site verification a further mature specimen was identified. Therefore, within the Road Reserve of Banksia Avenue three (3) mature Bloodwoods (Corymbia intermedia) are to be retained and protected. These mature trees have been recorded as Significant Tree No.s 27, 402 & 403 as detailed in the Significant Tree Survey — Settlers Cove, Greening Australia May 2003 and subsequently in Landscape Plans — Residential Single Lots, LM 04 - LM 06 (Figures 3, 4&5 of this Master Plan). Prior to commencement of any work in the Residential Single Lots Road Reserve, the location of these three trees is to be confirmed by the applicant with Council's Manager — Environmental Services. Residential Single Lots Building Envelopes The retention of vegetation during the clearing process within the Residential Single Lots development areas is limited to facilitate the construction of proposed buildings, hardstand areas and associated services. Considering this, it remains important that known Koala habitat trees shall be protected unless specific approval exists for their removal or lopping as a result of approved operational works. High Density Residential Lots Building Envelopes & Road Reserves- Landscaped Within the High Density Residential development, known Koala habitat trees shall be protected unless specific approval exists for their removal or lopping, or their removal or lopping is required as a result of approved operational or building works. w= = LandGraphics Maroochydore 04.05.2005 Landscape Architects and Environmental Planners PAGE 27
