PLANNING & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 26 MAY 2015
The applicant subsequently lodged two appeals, one appeal being against the roadwork
conditions and the second to the infrastructure charges notice for the roadwork’s contribution.
Council originally required the portion of the lot subject of this application (the island lot) to be
dedicated as parkland. However, through mediation and the appeal process it was negotiated
that an Industrial lot be created (the island lot) and a 10 metre wide strip adjacent to the Eumundi
Noosa Road be maintained and dedicated as parkland. The 10m wide park lot has been created
adjacent to the Eumundi Noosa Road, a continuation of the parkland strip in front of Officeworks
site.
The subdivision creating the ‘island’ lot was approved under approval REC12/0014 but the
registered plans are yet to be sealed. Therefore the subject site, being the island lot, still forms
part of the Bunnings Warehouse lot at the time of this report.
2.2. Site Description
The triangular shaped lot slightly slopes from south to north and has been filled near the northern
boundary. Some regrowth vegetation exists onsite. Figure 2 below shows the subject site
outlined in purple.
