      Further to an email to the Applicant’s Town Planner, Adamson Town Planning of 16 October 2022,
      and a telephone conversation between Council’s Coordinator Planning, Development Assessment
      Mr Patrick Murphy regarding a proposal by the Applicant’s Ecology Consultants, Gondwana
      Ecology Group Pty Ltd, please find our response below
      Issue 1 – vegetation removal and planting of less flammable plant species within the development
      site and adjacent to Resort Drive.
      Response: -
           1. In the Recommendations of the Bushfire Hazard Assessment and Management Plan
              (Revision 4, dated 30 April 2022), Recommendation 2 – Landscaping and Item c i.
              specifies – “A band of vegetation up to 20-metre-wide along Resort Drive is to contain
              100% of less flammable plant species”.
           2. Our onsite investigations indicate that this area is currently either devoid of understorey
              and groundcover due to the historic usage of this area or dominated by environmental
              weeds. There are some native groundcovers namely sedges and ground or prostrate
              shrub species, however these are restricted in distribution and or occurrences within this
              area.
           3. The area does contain a number of native tree species which includes Lophostemon
              confertus, Callitris columellaris, Eucalypts propinqua and Corymbia intermedia.
