The building heights proposed comply with the preferred building height for the
industrial zone of 10 metres;

An assessment has been undertaken against the specific outcomes for the Industry Zone of the
Cooroy & Lake Macdonald Locality Plan. The following points are noted from this assessment:
Consistent and inconsistent uses in the Industry Zone are overridden by the approved
plan of development though it is noted that the Retail Business Type 5 use is identified as
a consistent use in the Industry Zone;
External storage areas and plant will be screened from surrounding roads;
Required water tanks and pumps are located within 2m of the side boundaries and are
considered to be appropriate given that adjacent land is also industrial;
Appropriate visual interest is provided in the built form design.
The proposal is considered to comply with the Specific Outcomes of the Cooroy & Lake
Macdonald Locality Code.
