submissions back to Council in November 2015.

releases, direct correspondence, social media and online material. ‘Your Say Noosa’ will also be
used.
Previous Council Consideration
At the Ordinary Meeting of 28 August 2014 Council resolved to amend the Planning Scheme for
the Shire of Noosa and write to the Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning
requesting a State Interest Review of the proposed amendments and the Minister’s approval for
Council to commence public consultation on the proposed amendments.
Council gave specific consideration to Koala habitat protection following a report of 26 May 2015
and at the ordinary meeting of 4 June 2015 agreed to proposed amendments to bring the
scheme in line with State requirements for koala habitat protection and koala offsets, and include
a new koala habitat area map into The Noosa Plan to identify koala habitat that needs
consideration as part of development applications involving vegetation clearing.
