Enopte Solutions Pty Ltd 2/5 Junction Drive maw ENOPTE Scene ENERGY OPTIMISATION TECHNOLOGIES Ph: 0409478199 Letter of Support for Eco Cottages Social Housing Development Cooroy 10 March 2022 To whom it may concern, This letter is to show support for Eco Cottage’s Social Housing project at Cooroy including implementation of a microgrid to provide net zero energy to the 33 Eco Homes. Enopte has been working with Eco Cottages over the last 5 years including providing a 100kW solar system with battery storage to their facility at Jarrah St. As such Eco Cottages have achieved a net zero energy footprint for their manufacturing plant at Cooroy which includes advanced energy management to optimize the manufacturing process. A copy of the latest energy report is attached for information. Enopte has also developed a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), currently manufactured at Coolum Beach which is being deployed with Eco Cottages across the country. Some recent installations at Agnes Waters and Pinbarren are shown below. Whilst these systems in most cases are configured as “stand alone” they can be networked into a microgrid, which is the intention for the Cooroy Social Development project.

Homeowners will be able to share solar and battery storage across the development minimizing the size of the energy system on each home, whilst also achieving a net zero energy footprint and zero power bill (based on energy consumption constraints). The microgrid will have a single point of connection to the electricity grid to export excess power and to back-up the facility up in times of poor weather conditions. The microgrid battery system will also support water pumps and tank water sprinklers on the northern side of the development for bushfire protection. In the event of an emergency the system can be activated remotely by smart phone app. This is an exciting development for Cooroy and will certainly support Noosa Councils target for net zero emissions by 2026. Scope This report focuses on the past, present and future energy requirements with particular consideration to changes of energy use with the relocation of advanced manufacturing machinery to onsite solar powered factory premises. Data has been gathered using the Enopte Energy Management System which collects data at minute level increments from the solar inverters and various energy equipment around the building.
