6.0 PEDESTRIAN & CYCLIST ACCESS & MOVEMENT

A 2m wide shared pedestrian / cycle path is proposed to run along the Myall Street frontage, connecting
the development with Ferrells Road and the existing footpath network. This is expected to adequately

cater for walking and cycling trips to and from the site.

Pedestrian and cyclist paths and crossing facilities are also proposed within the site, linking the various

components of the development.

Figure 5 highlights the proposed provision for pedestrian and cyclist movement within and around the

site and the linkages to existing facilities.

It is recommended that on-site bicycle parking is provided for the fast-food component of the
development for visitors and staff. This should be situated close to building entrance in a location with a
high level of casual surveillance. It is our view that cycle parking should be provided at a rate of 1 space

per 25m’ GFA in accordance with Austroads*.
